軽井沢 愛宕山で植樹活動を行いました

國際グループでは、SDGsの一環として軽井沢・愛宕山の森林保全・再生活動を継続的に行なっています。私たちは、自動車を扱うグループとして、環境への責任を意識し、排出したCO₂を少しでもオフセットするために、「KDCの森」および 「TOUCHの森」という植樹プログラムを通じた森づくりに取り組んでいます。この活動の舞台となっているのが、認定NPO法人軽井沢a-trust が管理をする軽井沢の愛宕山です。

 

5月16日（金）に、國際グループのSDGs委員会と社会貢献委員会の主催により、愛宕山での森林整備と植樹のボランティア活動を行いました。当日は、31名の社員が参加し、a-trustの皆様のご指導のもと、植樹に加え、地ごしらえや道づくり、看板の補修、そして害虫を食べてくれるシジュウカラの巣箱の作成と設置も行いました。天候にも恵まれ、新緑がまぶしい森の中で、心地よい汗をかきながら仲間と共に自然と触れ合い、未来の森づくりへの思いを改めて実感する有意義な時間となりました。

私たちは今後も、未来に森を残す活動を大切にし、SDGs達成に向けた具体的な取り組みを継続してまいります。

 

 

As part of our SDGs initiatives, the Kokusai Group continues to support forest conservation and restoration at Mt. Atagoyama in Karuizawa. Through our “KDC Forest” and “TOUCH Forest” programs, we aim to offset CO₂ emissions and contribute to sustainable forest management in partnership with the certified NPO Karuizawa a-trust.

On May 16, 31 employees joined a volunteer activity organized by our SDGs and Social Contribution Committees. Under the guidance of a-trust, we planted trees, built paths, repaired signs, and made birdhouses for Japanese tits to help control pests.

It was a valuable opportunity to reconnect with nature and reflect on the importance of protecting our forests for future generations.
